Blueberry Lime Mint Water Kefir Soda Recipe

Put a spin on a classic mojito recipe by adding blueberries. Not only are blueberries the king of antioxidants, they sweeten up this recipe.

BLUEBERRY LIME MINT RECIPE

MAKES: about 4 cups

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups first ferment

1/4 cup blueberries fresh or frozen

1/4 lime juice

5 leaves of mint

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.
  • Strain the grains and add the ingredients to the swivel top bottle with the first ferment water kefir.
  • Seal up the swivel top bottle and leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.
  • Open slowly, strain and enjoy!

NEED TO KNOW:

Make sure you give your berries a little squeeze before you put them into your second ferment so the water kefir can penetrate the entire berry and make sure you eat the probiotic rich berries after you strain the soda.
