Carrot Apple Ginger Water Kefir Soda Recipe

Although adding vegetables to your water kefir may seem strange at first, you won’t think that for much longer after trying this recipe.

CARROT APPLE GINGER RECIPE

MAKES: about 4 cups

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups first ferment

1/4 cup no sugar added apple juice

1 medium peeled carrot

1/2 tsp ground ginger or 5 pieces fresh ginger

INSTRUCTIONS:

Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.

Take a medium peeled carrot and add it into a blender with the apple juice.

Strain the grains and add the apple and carrot puree to to your second ferment along with ginger in the swivel top bottle.

Seal up the swivel top bottle and leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.

Open slowly, strain and enjoy!
