Veggies in soda?
It may sound weird but it’s actually very tasty!
I dare you to try making it and let me know what you think.
It’s a bit on the sweeter side but add a bit more ginger than usual and the burn will offset some of the sweetness. Yum!
Carrot Apple Ginger
WATER KEFIR SODA RECIPE
Make the first fermentand leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.
Strain the grains and add the following to your second ferment.
1/4 cup no sugar added apple juice
1/8 cup purred carrot juice
1/2 tsp ground ginger or 5 pieces fresh ginger or 2 drops essential oil ginger
Take a medium peeled carrot and add it into a blender with the apple juice.
Blend and add to the green swivel top bottle.
Seal up the green swivel top bottle and leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.
Open slowly, strain and enjoy!
Refrigerate immediately and it can last there for up to 8 weeks before it turns to vinegar.
