The cucumber and mint act as an anti-inflammatory helping you reduce bloat and the lime gives you a burst of vitamin C.

As I continue on with my March theme of using vegetables in water kefir soda, this combination is ultra refreshing! The tartness of the lime combined with the sweet smell of cucumber and the jolt of mint makes this combination a delicious treat and is full of natural energy boosting ingredients!

This recipe is also fantastic without the fizz. You can just mix it all together and enjoy!

CUCUMBER LIME MINT

Water Kefir Soda Recipe

Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.

Strain the grains and add the following to your second ferment.

1/8 cup lime juice or 2 drops doTerra Lime Essential Oil

1/4 cup blended cucumber

5 leaves squeezed fresh mint or 2 drops doTerra Peppermint Essential Oil

Add 1/2 of a cucumber into the blender with the lime juice and a bit of the first ferment water kefir.

Blend and add to the green swivel top bottle with the first ferment water kefir and the mint leaves.

Seal up the green swivel top bottle and leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.

Open slowly, strain and enjoy!

Refrigerate immediately and it can last there for up to 8 weeks before it turns to vinegar.
