Today Team Happy Gut shares how fermented water kefir, coconut water, and watermelon can ease bloating and dehydration!


Well summer is in full swing! This heat wave has left us thirsty! Hydration is key in this hot weather, as well as a good balance of electrolytes to keep us healthy and energized. And for those with chronic medical conditions, pregnancy or a sensitivity to heat all understand the perils of swelling and edema in these warm summer months. This week we will touch on how to ease these troublesome symptoms with the help of water kefir!

According to research, live probiotics not only reduce stomach bloating, but can also help to reduce overall inflammation and water retention (edema) when taken regularly. Live probiotics also improve digestion, which means bodies with healthy gut flora have an easier time with absorption. Fermenting Coconut water is ultra easy!

Add 4 cups of pure coconut water to your brewing jar and stir in 1/4 cup Happy Gut Water Kefir Grains. Place in a warm spot for 24 hours.
