Get to Know: Blueberry Blossom Flavouring Infusion

Leeza Zurwick

Brew, sip, relax. Cozy up with the beautiful, fuchsia coloured Blueberry Blossom Flavouring Infusion. Indulge yourself at the end of a long day with comforting, organic chamomile and lavender. Tart hibiscus and rose hips balance the aromatic florals, and whole blueberries finish off the bouquet with their subtle berry sweetness.

A Comforting Combination

Chamomile is an age-old relaxation remedy, perfect for winding down and encouraging rest. This sweet, hay-scented flower has been used for centuries for it’s healing properties. Chamomile is used to relieve anxiety, promote good sleep, calm irritated skin and even reduces pain.

Lavender is a familiar floral best known for its use in perfume. Do you know ingesting the edible variety benefits you, too? Lavender is used to treat migraines, stress and sleep disturbance. It’s non-addicting and has no withdraw or adverse effects, unlike many prescription sleep aids. We’re getting sleepy just thinking of it!

Hibiscus is a stunning tropical flower. Beautiful both fresh and dried, the flower can be used in food for it’s vibrant, natural dye and tart flavour. Hibiscus offers many health benefits, and is astoundingly high in antioxidants. It also helps to lower blood pressure and fights insulin resistance, a precursor to diabetes.

Rose hips are another tart flavouring addition in this blend. Packed full of vitamin C, rose hips are the fruit of wild roses. The red little buds are very popular in herbal medicine because they offer so many benefits. Along with being an immunity booster, rose hips are anti-inflammatory and help relieve pain associated with arthritis.

Blueberries finish off this blend with their natural sweetness and antioxidant power. One of the world’s favourite superfoods, blueberries are known for their nutritional density and delicious tang. Along with their free-radical flighting, they help boost brain cognition and support the heart.
