Get to Know: Goji Clove Flavouring Infusion

Leeza Zurwick

Odds are, you’ve had a meal that’s left you feeling heavy, unsettled and ready to take a nap. Goji Clove Flavouring Infusion is designed to be your kombucha or water kefir go-to remedy when you’ve over-indulged. This soothing blend of herbs is formulated to ease bloating and help with digestion. The best part? It tastes just like Christmas, incorporating yummy seasonal flavours like berries and spice. Earthy fennel adds a licorice-like sweetness, and peppery clove adds depth. Goji and cranberries add a delicious berry tartness while rose hips balance the formula out with their bright, sour tang.

A Tummy Soothing Combination

Cranberries are an incredible superfood, full of antioxidants. They are best known for their ability to fight UTIs, but did you know these powerful berries are also great for the gut? They contain a high amount of dietary fibre, and naturally balance good and bad bacteria in the intestines.

Goji berries are a favourite here at Happy Gut. Goji berries are super energizing, have high protein and have 11 different amino acids in them. They are also loaded with vitamin C, which helps boost the immune system against colds and more serious diseases.

Fennel seeds digestive powerhouses that do most of the foot work in Goji Clove Flavouring Infusion. They have been used for centuries, across many cultures, to soothe digestive complaints. Not only are they high in dietary fiber, but the seeds act as a mild laxative that encourage the body to release toxins. Fennel also helps balance pH in the body, which is helpful for people who suffer from acid reflux.

Rose hips are another favourite here at Happy Gut. We love this “false fruit” of a wild rose plant that’s known for it’s super-high vitamin C content, and lovely tart flavour. Their anti-inflammatory properties help soothe stomach cramps, ease bloating and reduce heartburn.

Clove not only adds a wonderful, spicy depth to this formula, but it has many health benefits as well. From treating motion-sickness to flatulence, clove is a surprisingly powerful digestive aid. Clove is especially helpful in combating candida as it has powerful anti-fungal properties. It’s even used to treat intestinal parasites.
