Here’s a simple recipe for a Low Sugar New Year’s Eve Cocktail to help set your intention for a Low Sugar 2019.

This cocktail boasts only 5 grams of sugar.

I personally find that when I drink sweet drinks or coolers, I can only have one and then I am done for the night.

This drink is so light and refreshing that you can easily sip on it all evening.

Here is the recipe to make this amazing drink on your own OR¬†if¬†you¬†live¬†in¬†the¬†East¬†or¬†West¬†Kootenay’s¬†(Grand Forks BC too) you¬†can¬†purchase¬†our¬†Happy Gut Lemonade¬†Water¬†Kefir¬†here and just add some fresh mint and vodka to it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

LEMON MINT VODKA

WATER KEFIR SODA COCKTAIL

Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.

Strain the grains and add the following to your second ferment. 

1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon or lemon juice

5 leaves fresh mint

Seal up the green swivel top bottle and leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.

Open slowly.  Strain.

Add 1 ounce vodka, ice, fresh lemon slices, fresh mint and enjoy!

This cocktail will give your body a big boost of vitamin C, probiotics, magnesium, B vitamins, folate, vitamin K, electrolytes and enzymes.
