Balanced with fresh mint and lime juice, this drink has the zing of ginger and reminds you of sitting on a bright and breezy patio.
Living in Canada has it’s challenges with the gloomy weather often wreaking havoc on your psyche.
If sitting on the beach is not in your repertoire this winter, then this fresh and light soda is a great pick me up option.
Matcha, in my opinion is an aquired taste.
I’m reeeeeally into it at the moment!
It’s a great afternoon pick me up and makes me feel energized without the crash and the flavor isn’t as strong when you mix it with the citrus, lime and ginger.
My favorite brand of Matcha is from Virtue Artisan Tea.
Always make sure that when you buy Matcha that it is pure and has no added ingredients.

MINTY MATCHA LIME
WATER KEFIR SODA RECIPE
Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.
Strain the grains and add the following to your second ferment.
1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice or 2 drops food grade essential oil
5 leaves fresh mint
3 slices fresh ginger or 5 pieces candied ginger
4 tsp matcha
Seal up the green swivel top bottle and shake it up to combine ingredients.
Leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.
Strain and enjoy!
