Orange Creamsicle Water Kefir Soda Recipe
How can you go wrong with oranges, coconut milk and vanilla? This is as good as it sounds, and you get a hit of natural vitamin C.
ORANGE CREAMSICLE WATER KEFIR SODA RECIPE
MAKES: about 4 cups
4 cups first ferment
1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
1 tsp vanilla
3 tbsp coconut milk
3 pc. candied ginger
- Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.
- Strain the grains and add the ingredients to the swivel top bottle with the first ferment water kefir.
- Seal up the swivel top bottle and leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.
- Open slowly, strain and enjoy!
NEED TO KNOW:
The coconut milk will float at the top of the bottle. When serving, first burp the bottle to remove excess CO2, then reseal and shake lightly so the milk mixes. Pour immediately.
If you prefer, you can delete the coconut milk in the brewing bottle and add it after you’ve poured the water kefir into a drinking glass.
We’ve put some fresh orange slices into the drinking glass to multiply the orange flavour.
