Say good-bye to premixes and heaps of added sugar. This recipe brings things to back to basics, with the added benefit of probiotics. This recipe is fun for the whole family- parents can add a splash of rum for a adult treat, and kids love it as a popcicle.
PROBIOTIC PINA COLADA RECIPE
Yields: 2 servings
6 oz. of fermented coconut cream
2 cups of fresh pineapple chunks (frozen is fine, and will reduce how much ice you need to add)
4 oz. pineapple ginger water kefir soda
1 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
2 cups of ice
In a high speed blender, add the above ingredients and blend until smooth. If the mixture needs more liquid, add more pineapple ginger soda until it blends easily.
If you would like to add alcohol, add 2 oz of rum white rum per serving (along with the other blender ingredients) and blend thoroughly.
Pour into a glass, and enjoy!
If this is for the kids, do not add alcohol. Pour into popcicle molds, and freeze over night.
