Strawberry Basil Water Kefir Soda Recipe

The freshness of the strawberries and the lingering basil flavour makes this a recipe that you will always want more of.


MAKES: about 4 cups


4 cups first ferment

1/4 cup diced strawberries

4 Leaves fresh basil or 1 drop doTerra Basil Essential Oil


  • Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.
  • Strain the grains and add the ingredients to the swivel top bottle with the first ferment water kefir.
  • Seal up green swivel top bottle and leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.
  • Open slowly, strain and enjoy!


We suggest ‘burping’ the bottle every 8 hours, as this flavour often builds carbonation quickly.
