Warm Spiced Pear And Vanilla Water Kefir Soda Recipe

Known for their super immune boosting properties and longtime remedy for nausea, pears are high in fiber, phytonutrients, vitamin C, vitamin K and copper. They are very helpful for any skin conditions like psoriasis, acne or dermatitis. They also provide us with antioxidants and are anti inflammatory thus helping decrease chronic inflammation Vanilla on the other hand is full of antioxidants and has been used for centuries to soothe inflammation. The antibacterial nature of this beneficial flower makes it a powerful ally in the battle against acne, as it can eliminate the underlying infection and speed up the healing process of the skin. It can also help ease conditions of arthritis, gout and other inflammatory conditions.

WARM SPICED PEAR AND VANILLA RECIPE

MAKES: about 4 cups

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups first ferment

1 fresh or frozen pear or 1/4 cup pear juice

1/2 tsp vanilla or 2 inches vanilla bean

5 pieces candied ginger

1/2 tsp cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.
  • Strain the grains and add the ingredients to the green swivel top bottle with the first ferment water kefir.
  • Seal up the green swivel top bottle and leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.
  • Open slowly, strain and enjoy!

NEED TO KNOW:

Make sure you eat the fermented fruit. It has beneficial fibre and over 30 strains of LIVE probiotics.

Refrigerate immediately. It can last there for up to 8 weeks before it turns to vinegar.
