Strawberry Mint Water Kefir Soda Recipe
A springtime favourite. Strawberries and mint are a light, bright flavour combination.
STRAWBERRY MINT WATER KEFIR SODA
MAKES: about 4 cups
4 cups first ferment
4 medium strawberries cut into small pieces
4 – 6 mint leaves, chopped
- Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.
- Strain the grains and add the cut strawberry and mint to the swivel top bottle with the first ferment water kefir.
- Seal up the swivel top bottle and leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.
- Open slowly, strain and enjoy!
NEED TO KNOW:
Organic fresh strawberries have the best flavour. Use them if possible.
Any variety of mint will work well. Newly sprouted garden mint is the best.
