Lemon Strawberry Water Kefir Soda Recipe

Citrus and water kefir really do go hand in hand. The zing of flavour and the extra boost of vitamin C from the citrus and the boost of LIVE probiotics, vitamins, enzymes, minerals and electrolytes from the water kefir makes any citrus a perfect light and refreshing soda combination.

LEMON STRAWBERRY MINT RECIPE

MAKES: about 4 cups

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups first ferment

1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice or 2 drops food grade essential oil

1/4 cup fresh or frozen chopped up strawberries

5 sprigs fresh mint leaves

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.
  • Strain the grains and add the ingredients to the swivel top bottle with the first ferment water kefir.
  • Seal up the swivel top bottle and leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.
  • Open slowly, strain and enjoy!
