Pomegranate Blueberry Ginger Water Kefir Soda

A festive winter ferment made with pomegranate, blueberries, and ginger. This sparkling water kefir soda delivers antioxidants, probiotics, and bright holiday flavour.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups first ferment

  • ¼ cup pomegranate arils (muddled)

  • ¼ cup pomegranate juice

  • ¼ cup blueberries (muddled)

  • 2 tbsp chopped ginger

Directions

  1. Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24–48 hours.

  2. Add muddle pomegranate arils, pomegranate juice, mulled blueberries, and chopped ginger into a clean swivel-top bottle.

  3. Strain the grains from your first ferment and pour the liquid into the bottle using a funnel.

  4. Seal up the swivel top bottle and leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.

  5. Open slowly, strain and enjoy!
