Thanks for my grains, they are happily eating sugar water… I’m still working on the yummy recipes so far grape and apple are a huge hit. Appreciate you guys and having access to such healthy benefits
I love the taste of water kefir compared to kombucha and once I got the hang of the procedure it’s quite easy. Just a few suggestions for the glass bottles. I found the glass brewing jar in the starter kit quite unwieldy to use. I recommend just using a 1 L mason jar and buy the Masontops kefir lids. Also the glass swivel bottle in the starter kit is not very tight and lets the carbonation out. I got the IKEA swivel bottle and it works great. I have a lot more carbonation. The instructions could be a bit more simplified and detailed. When they say boil your water first and let it get to room temperature this takes several hours so plan accordingly and make sure it’s less than 29 degrees C. I may have killed some of my grains by putting too hot of water at one point. Otherwise I think the concept is a great way to get probiotics!
This is a nice sugar, with a nice taste and smell to. Given the price though I'll probably purchase it occasionally, and use some sustainable cain sugar I can get locally cheaper most of the time.
I got the mixed case and love them all. I have trouble drinking enough water I a day, but can easily drink one of these and hardly any sugar in them.
I enjoyed 2 of the 4 flavours but that’s not to say someone else would like the ones I didn’t care as much for.
I love to keep several cans of Happy Gut tucked in my fridge for those times I want something fun but without alcohol. The light fizz makes it the perfect refreshing beverage with dinner after a day out in the garden.
Just bought a pack for a friend. I've drinking a glass once a day for over a year now. While I enjoy brewing an excellent and healthy beverage, I truly enjoy drinking a refreshing beverage of my owne.
Awesome product. Water kefir travelled well and took off in no time. Great customer service. Recommended!
I love making and consuming water kefir, it is one of my favourite drinks to make! I have been brewing it for a few years now with a brew kit I received as a gift. I've gone through a few grain packages since then, because they had depleted over time. What I've learned the trick is to not let it ferment too long, otherwise the sugar will all be consumed and will starve the culture, thus being depleted. I now aim to bottle every second day when possible, which keeps the grains well fed and makes for a better flavour as well. Basically, I am continuously brewing it, since my water isn't chlorinated, I don't bother boiling and cooling prior to brewing. I just bottle, add the grains back to the jar, add the sugar (I use straight coconut sugar), fill with cool water, stir, let ferment and repeat the process every couple of days. This means I am in constant supply of water kefir, which I am drinking all the time, hopefully it's not too much of a good thing, but I'm sure my gut is thankful for it. I seldom add fruit juice or allow for much carbonation, I enjoy it just the way it is. Once I bottle, it goes in the fridge, which I enjoy until my next batch is ready. Cheers!
The grains were shipped promptly, packaged well and with instructions. As for the grains, so far so good. They are doing well but I also bought a "sourdough starter warmer" from Amazon as it seems the sugar consumption or "brew" time was inconsistent with the day/night temperature changes in winter. This seems to help in that regard. I am enjoying drinking the water kefir and easier to make than yogurt. Good stuff all around!
Elderberry infusion adds a great flavour to my Keifer water. It’s so easy to use and makes a wonderful addition to my water. I have trouble deciding between the blueberry or elderberry.
Fast delivery and excellent product. Love the effervescent water kefir. Great recipes and tips from their website
I recently had a knee replacement and after taking baby aspirin for a month to prevent blood clotting I began to get terrible stomach pain, which landed me in emergency. I have stomach gastritis and it hurts to eat especially in the first part of the day! I have been taking Orange/Cranberry Happy Gut every morning now for 3 weeks. (Nothing else) It replaces, the coffee and food I cannot have and is so satisfying. I look forword to it! Happy to say my stomach is slowly healing. Best medicine ever. :-)
Love this flavour! It’s my new favourite too! Fingers crossed it sticks around after the holidays 😋
We took the mixed case on a family/friend trip and everyone enjoyed the selection of flavours. Blueberry and Root Beer were the front runners! It was great to have healthy options on hand that also taste delicious. Not my first time buying Happy Gut by the case, and won't be my last :)
Love this stuff. Tastes like root beer but you don’t need to feel guilty drinking it!
Love these things. I’m only a couple days we get to drink delicious and nutritious drinks. Wayyy faster and less involved than kombucha, and dare I say it tastes better!!!
I purchased the live water kefir grains. I'm on my fourth brew. I'm very happy with this purchase. I have been making Kombucha for a few years, however, this is so much easier and more cost effective and tastes better. Thank you.
