Raspberry Vanilla Water Kefir Soda Recipe

Our family was raised on homemade raspberry juice so this recipe tastes like home, childhood and berry picking in the garden to us. A bit of vanilla and ginger makes this raspberry vanilla water kefir smooth and just a little more sophisticated.

RASPBERRY VANILLA WATER KEFIR SODA

MAKES:

about 4 cups

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups first ferment

10 – 20 raspberries (fresh or frozen)

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

3 cubes dried ginger or fresh ginger slices

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.
  • Strain the grains and add all ingredients to the swivel top bottle with the first ferment water kefir.
  • Seal up the swivel top bottle and leave it in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.
  • Open slowly, strain and enjoy!

NEED TO KNOW:

Fast frozen organic raspberries have lots of flavour and freezing doesn’t diminish the nutrients. Use fresh berries only when they’re in season.

Raspberries are an excellent source of vitamin C and fibre.

This soda will give your body a big boost of vitamin C, probiotics, magnesium, B vitamins, folate, vitamin K, electrolytes and enzymes.
