Chamomile Lemonade Water Kefir Soda Recipe

A delightful twist on the traditional lemonade, where the calming essence of chamomile not only smooths out the tart flavor but also adds its own health benefits, resulting in a refreshing and soothing citrus soda.
INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tbsp chamomile (optional – cut open bag of chamomile tea)
4 cups first ferment
INSTRUCTIONS:
Make the first ferment and leave the jar in a warm place for 24-48 hours.
Add lemon juice and chamomile to a clean and sanitized swivel top bottle.
Strain the grains, and top up the bottle with first ferment.
Seal the lid, and gently shake upside down a few times to ensure ingredients are well mixed.
Leave the bottle of chamomile lemonade water kefir in a warm place for 24 hours for the second ferment.
Burp every 12 hours to ensure there isn’t an overflow.
Refrigerate until well chilled, then enjoy!
